Title: What clear coat over sharpie markers?
Post by: GhostofJohnToad on August 14, 2013, 12:51:41 AM
So I really want to doodle up a pedal with multi-colored fine tip sharpies.  What would be the best method to preserve it?  Is there a particular clear coat that is recommended?

I use oil based sharpies and just use a regular clear krylon. My 5 year old can do wonders on an enclosure.

Yeah after I posted I saw they have oil based ones now.  Are those like the rattle paint pens?

Clear nail polish. The trick is to get it over the art before it dissolves the ink.

There are waterborne lacks that are acrylics/polyurethane! Might be an opion if the ink is not water soluble! U can brush with a foam brush and the results are relatively good!
