And how did you drill the square hole for it?
And a tip of the hat for your usual window frame backdrop, I love that one.
Hey nice to know some of these have been remembered. The led display one is my Miles Ahead fuzz face platform, with the added voltmeter (the display obviously measures the collector voltage of Q2) but there's all of the mods in there, or space left for em so it's easy to experiment, polarity switch, everything socketed basically, and there's a probe as well so that you don't need a multimeter, you can use the pedal's own voltmeter to bias everything. And so on...
The hole drilling was hard as hell, I drilled consecutive round holes and then sanded em so they merged together and after a while, I ended up with a square hole. It was hard.

I tried this once and failed miserably. Aluminum is supposed to be a soft metal, nothing soft about the one I tried to drill for a square hole!
So I completely ditched the idea until I get a scrollsaw or something of the sort so that a machine can do the hard work. ;D

Hi! The "Tarantula!" mixer for my client-bassist is finished. The specification and design proposed by him.
The input signal is divided into three signals, two of them go to send/return sections. Any pedals can be plugged into the send/return sections and finally "dirty" signal is blended with the clean signal. So it has solved the problem of cutting the low specter of the bass signal when it goes through guitar pedals. And optionally three guitars can be plugged into the input and returns of this box and it becomes the floor mixer ;D
The preamps are + 6Db
The front panel was engraved and painted.
The PCB is laser engraved, chemically treated and soldered classically :)

Hey Guybrush, what's the pulse rifle?
Here's a Christine Fuzz with some mods to add more craziness - one toggle adds an LDR (hidden in the jewel light cover, along with the LED) to the tone control, and the other toggle connects the momentary footswitch to either the osc pot or the power pot, each with a fixed resistance value, for footcontrolled glitchiness. This is about my 15th build - still trying to figure out labelling (currently experimenting with laser etching), but for this one labelling isn't really necessary - the controls (as well as the vol/tone on the guitar that's plugged into it) are very interactive and unpredictable - so it's pretty much 'tweak until it rips your face off'!!
That would be those i beleive came out the greatest in the older ones...

Thanks cdog. the loop is in the circuit somewhere, I can't remember where exactly, from memory there are three places you can splice it in, pre, repeats, or post repeats, or somewhere else, It was a big headache, but did work, i think i had to add a buffer and boost also, the inside got a bit cramped, as I refuse to use pcbs mounted pots, preferring my own layout of knobs etc. echobase is is a fun build, but never again with the loop.

The Total Recall took me some time to figure out. I bought the first board too early in my DIY career, destroyed it, bought this second one, built it, and took then ages until I figured out how to bias it. Biasing it is a bitch, nothing else to say. I tried all the methods, coming back to the instructions one, and paying attention to this forum about the end of the process, which has a little quack in the instructions.
Now it's working perfectly, 550ms of delay, it sounds really beautiful and my son loves it. It does have some MODs: it's full bypass, and carries the two MODs proposed in the building instructions, one resistor change for humbucker friendliness and the audio blend pot. I changed the cap of the clock (C40) to 287pF (nominal) to adjust the clock period (132us) as per D. Morrin's calibration instructions. I also did the opamp mods proposed by Matt Weed from Electronic States and replaced the opamps as following: IC1 = OPA1642; IC3 = JCR4558DD; IC4 = TL072; IC5 = OPA1642; IC9 = TL022. The same president is represented in the name of the pedal, Psycho Retard... well, this being an analogue and vintage delay, there are several connexions... I let you imagine...
I hope you like it this build, which became very close to my heart. I built is for my guitar player son, and after such a painful processes for building and biasing it, I just ordered another board and will build one for my bass player son. I don't think this is a one-pedal endeavor...
