Hey guys, the archives of Bevis on the wayback machine are almost completely gone. Does anybody have any of the page saved? I'm still hoping the whole thing comes back at some point.
I'm specifically looking for the article on having a well stocked bench, but there is so much other stuff I'd like to have too.
bump for interest - i also would like bevis audio to return or at least to be able to see their stuff
I have about 24 pages saved in mht format. After it disappeared the first time I took no chance and archived what I felt were the most important pages. Too many sites that I thought were important died on me so when I come across something really important I archive. Unfortunately not the page about a well stocked bench.
It's on wayback machine

I'd save anything you want, they don't keep images forever.
Several people have offered him free hosting at different sites and he never got back to them. I guess some people just get fed up.
Edit: seems only to work if you know the specific page URL. It has a robots.txt added to each directory to prevent search engines from crawling the site. Kinda odd for a public site.
If anyone can recommend a good filesharing host that doesn't require me to create an account or log in and simply lets me upload a file I'll be more then happy to upload what I got.
Would putting it on google docs work?

I think it's called Google drive these days. You should be able to create a shared link on there that would allow people to download the folder.

I've never used any of these but here's a list someone made: http://collegefallout.com/10-good-free-file-hosting-websites-with-no-sign-up/
Found some of it here

Hopefully this works:

worked perfectly for me, thanks :)
Got the download but looks like .mht files don't play with macs very well. I'll have to figure out how to convert them to .pdf or something.

i'm on a pc, but all i did to view them was drag and drop them into an empty chrome tab.
Thanks Keefe, I'll download chrome and give it a shot.
I haven't looked at them in a few years but after it disappeared once when it came back I printed every freakin' page I could print if I recall that correctly. Yeah, I'm old enough to where there is nothing like good old fashioned paper :P
If you send me your email I'll see if I can't scan them here at work to you tomorrow and then email. I really don't recall what was in there per se and if I have what you need.
Analogue and paper rule !!
If you do it in a pdf file, I'd love to have it also.

Thanks man. I actually managed to track down the article I was looking for and a few others, but I really hope this stuff does come back around at some point.
I made some PDFs from the mht's

Thanks Cody! 8)
Thanks! This had to be one of the best corners of the internet around.
Thanks Cody
There was a thread on another forum that quoted dano saying he would eventually get back up and going again but I read that a while ago... hopefully it'll still happen.
Excellent Cody, thanks!
thanks a lot :)

There are lots of things I plan to eventually do. If they're actually likely to materialize that's a whole other thing. It can be argued that the buy/sell/trade forum is full of stuff on offer that the original owners at one time planned to do but didn't. I hope Beavis Audio will make a comeback, but the longer its gone, the less likely its going to happen.

Seems like someone even offered him free space to do it.

Dano hinted that sometimes life can get in the way. Hopefully he has gotten beyond that and realizes what Beavis Audio has meant to countless budding musicians and electronic gurus. I know what his site meant to me in an otherwise not so good period of mine.
I've mentioned his site a number of times in my videos and even had a link to his site on my store for some time. It is an excellent resource particularly for new builders, such a shame its gone he's very good at delivering confusing topics in a simple manor...
Thanks Cody!

That is fantastic news 8)
(Digging up this old post because it made me happy to stumble across it)
Looks like parts of the site are up and working again. Not everything, yet, but parts!

you can scrape everything from the wayback machine or pick up my habit adapted from the early days of the internet (pre search engine), when you find a piece of relevant information, save it or print it.

The problem is the Wayback machine often doesn't save images or downloadable files. Its fantastic I'll admit (and has saved my butt on many occasions), but it has shortcomings.
