Just curious as to how this 3008 chorus differs from all the 3007 choruses out there?
I have some 3008 chips and wouldn't mind using them for this if it creates somewhat of a different chorus flavor.
It will achieve one of these 3 things, either a slight reduction in noise through a higher clock frequency for the same delay time as a 3007, a brighter sound through a higher clock frequency allowing for lighter filtering at the same noise level and the same delay time as the 3007 or a more in your face chorus sound from a longer delay time, or something slightly in between.

Thanks for the info Scruffie
Are there any commercial chorus pedals out there you know of that use the 3008s?
The vintage MXR Stereo Chorus is the only one I can think of off the top of my head.
might be wrong here but the reissue big box stereo EHX PolyChorus has a MN3008 in it

Right you are.
Listened to a demo on YouTube of the coral reef. It's really cool sounding.
That is some chorus pedal, I just lent out my favorite chorus pedal as well

Not sure why I didn't think to do that.
Agree, very nice sounding.
I own a Choral Reef. It's the first chorus I've ever loved.
I've regretted my Choral Reef ever since I sold it. I needed a more simple chorus to start with, ended up with a beautiful CE2-B that I modified a bit, but I'd LOVE to build a Choral Reef, especially now I understand more fully how a chorus works. Some amazing sounds with this beast of a chorus.
Cool well based on the interest I'll see about getting the Reef released in the next batch.

Cool! With the release of the Xvive chip I've been wondering what to do with my stash of MN3008s. Now I know...
I will build one if lucky enough to spot the project go live
Pretty sure I have 3 or 4 of these too.

Man, it sounds like everyone is swimming in mn3008 but me!
anyone have 1 they would like to sell?
I've got 4 now, and another 4 en route from somewhere in Asia. I'm sure I can part with one or two.
Well if anyone has some they'd be willing to sell in Europe (I'm in France), that'd be great!
Sounds like an exciting project, I can't wait!

I think banzai sells them. They might get back ordered for 2 months though. And possibly uk-electronics.de

Thanks, yeah I'll check uk-electronics, as long as I can avoid Banzai I'll be happy.

thanks a lot for the offer, I am in Australia so I am not sure if the postage costs would be worth it.
I was toying with the idea of eBay, but I know I shouldn't.
Let me know what you think .
Oh Yeah
Just listened to demos on the Tube and I'll throw in my desire to build one. Best subtle settings ever with all the rest thrown in. I usually don't like fast settings but somehow this circuit sounds good set that way.
I may sell an analog man chorus for this one as a replacement... WANT!

yeah me too, I've got a MN3008 just waiting for the release of this.
I've built a few nice chorus pedals this year but hoping this will be the one for me too.
I've got a couple of parts to order but I plan to work on this one next week.
I remain tumescent regarding this project. ;D
Hope there is a bit of stock of this one, I see it selling very fast when the time comes.
How Many 3008's this beast gonna take to build?
I can't imagine it would take more than one.

I have none and buying these from ebay would be like buying one from Times Square
I think rej still has some listed on his site

Nope on Rej's site
SmallBear seems to have them at $20.oo http://smallbear-electronics.mybigcommerce.com/ic-mn3008/ (http://smallbear-electronics.mybigcommerce.com/ic-mn3008/)
So hmmm one of my best friends who's a musician, just asked me if I could build him a chorus... just saying... :)
