Title: Ebay J201s (possibly J202s)
Post by: benny_profane on June 06, 2019, 09:19:51 AM
I have a small batch of J201s that I'm thinking are actually J202s (the Idss measurements for the J201s are an order of magnitude higher than the spec sheet and in line with J202 figures). If they are in fact J202s, how can I possibly use them? Can I use these in buffers?

Cheers

J202s are in the None More Black, great sounding drive.

DeadendFX MrMulti uses J202's also.

Cool, thanks. I'm also wondering what characteristic of the J201 makes it included in so many buffers (e.g., use any JFET—J201 or 2n5457 work well) and what would I have to do to make it so the J202 would be a good sub? Basically resistor value changes I suppose.
