Title: 1 watt versions of classic amps?
Post by: jtn191 on May 16, 2012, 12:31:29 AM
A guy over at BYOC got the JMP version of this amp and it got me thinking...

I don't know much about amps, but the JTM in the model name seems to imply that it's a 1 watt version of a JTM-45. I've looked around for the schematic...couldn't find it

But what if we could diy a low-powered, 1 watt Fender Twin or 5e3, 1 watt version of Vox AC30, etc.
Also been wondering about how to add effects loops to amps...guess I'll go read about it

Amp Garage or Music-Electronics-Forum might be better places to ask this.

http://www.ax84.com (http://www.ax84.com) has a few flea-powered valve amp projects, like the Firefly and the 4-4-0. I suspect that even if you just want one watt power handling, you'll still get stung for the transformers the most in any project though.
