Post by: LaceSensor on May 23, 2012, 04:09:49 AM
Hi has anyone tried using 2 x MN3008 in place of a MN3005 for things like Aqua Puss type builds?

I have seen layouts for dual board setups etc

Thanks

I´m planning to do a Deluxe MM with 4 mn3008s instead 2 mn3005 but I´ll take some time. When i´ll finish the build I´ll tell you.

appreciate that. thanks.

Im considering doing one with just the mn3008s, for about 300ms of delay.
I dont find I need longer delays really.

And that's exactly what you'll get, it's just got half the stages, should work great.

As will 4 x 3008, that's what the XO memory man uses.

I ordered some fakes from small bear, paid $16 a pair, which seems ok I spose.
Tested, so should work and I assume are relabelled mn3008

I build the dirtbag with 4x MN3008, sounded great.

just to update, I ordered 3 pairs from small bear, they all work fine.
I built a dirtbag with 2 x mn3008 and it delays really nice.
upped the clock capacitor to 330pf for a bit more time, with a sacrifice of some small clock noise at the peak of the delay knob

TL;DR - mn3008 are recommended
