Title: issue with honney dripper
Post by: Vintageman on June 04, 2012, 07:25:08 PM
Hello.

I´ve finished my honney dripper with the classic mod:

R5 - 330k
c2 - 560 pF (ceramic disc)
R21- external 10K pot (by now)

But I´m experiencing the next behaviour.

To hear the sweep, I have to put the sweep pot full CW.

With the rotary, in positions 1 and 2 I hear the same fx, I can´t hear the difference.

In position 3, I can hear another kind of sweep. (the second one)

In position 4 I don´t hear sweep at all.

I´ve check many times the connections, tracks, etc...

Any suggestion will be appreciated.

Thanks and regards folks.

almost sounds like the rotary might have been put on the wrong side of the board. The CBA doesn't line up correctly if the board is upside down.

Calciferspit thanks for your answer.

I´m afraid that the rotary switch is correctly wired. I´ve check it with a tester, following the schematic, and it seems to be as it should.

I think we'll need pictures then. In my 'dripper, position 1 and 3 are similar (but not the same) and 2 & 4 are altogether different and different from each other. And mine starts to get sweepy just before noon on the knob. And the first part of the sweep knob is a strong "stuck wah" sound.

Thanks again I appreciate your interest.

It´s a bit strange but I don´t actually have any cam. I´m going to borrow one and post pictures soon. I wonder wether some voltage readings or sound samples could help by now.
