I received a notification the other day also for C10k pots and when I looked less than an hour later it said they had 8 in stock. They are needless to say sold out now. So it's definitely possible they restocked and ran out again.

VFE Projects / Re: Standout switching problems

So I started with checking voltages as suggested and they were really off on the micro controller. I thought it might be shorting out on the pot below but that wasn't it. So I reflowed all the pins and bingo back to full working order. Thanks for the help.

VFE Projects / Standout switching problems
June 30, 2019, 10:52:42 AM
I built the Standout a few months ago and every thing worked fine and it sounded great but at the time it didn't wasn't what we needed so it went on the shelf. Pulled it out last night and it seems to be stuck in momentary mode and the led seems to be stuck on as well, it's very dim but when you step on it it goes to full brightness like normal but I don't remember it being on all the time like it is now. I can also hear a very faint clicking sound from the box when it is plugged in like a mechanical click. When I'm hearing that click its when I was trying to get it to switch back to normal mode so it isn't plugged into an amp or anything. Any ideas on what might how to switch it back or what might need to be replaced? Thanks

Do you think the Fritter stocks will hold until the Man O' War DX gets released? I was gonna wait until it comes out to place my order but if they're going that fast I might just order a couple boards now just to ensure I get my hands on one and then order the Man O' War whenever it comes out.

I wish I could give you a definite answer but I can't. I think realistically the MOW, Polytrog and HB 1.5 will come out at the same time as the new restocks. So, there may be Fritters left by that point or not. I think there are probably 25 or so remaining considering what I have coming vs. outstanding orders as of tonight.

Do keep in mid that the Fritter will be made available at OSH Park in a couple of weeks, as well. It's a small board and will be quite cheap to get from OSH if you don't succeed in the giveaway.

On the bright side - this situation is not going to happen again. Like I said before I am going to change up the way things are released so this piecemeal crap won't be an issue in the future. Plus, I have at least 4-5 more giveaways ready - enough to last into 2020. I actually really enjoy doing the giveaway boards. It's an inexpensive way to drum up orders plus give something back to all you guys at the same time. Win/Win.

Is it possible for you to put a link up to your OSH Park projects? Their search is terrible.

I'd try and swap out the 100nf off the input for a 82nf or 68nf.

I've had good luck with getting 1/8w sized ones from Arrow. They have a lot of the common values in the 3.3 mm in 1/4w from Stackpole. Right now they have free shipping with a $20 minimum.

This is my first time trying to layout a breadboard for testing from a schematic and some vero board layouts. I used the diy layout creator to lay out all of my components. Thought I'd post it here see if anyone had some suggestions or see's any mistakes I might have made. Here's the schematic and layout I made.
I also added a 2k trimpot in place of the 1k5 for biasing q2 which I've read is very useful. Thanks in advance everybody.

It's been a few years since I've made a pedal thought I'd start back in with something small make all my mistakes with it before I got back into the more complicated builds.

Sounds great, just going to try a few other germanium's I have around to make sure I'm getting everything out of it that I can. Made few errors at first with the wiring and putting the dc jack on the wrong side but it works and I'm pleased with it.
