That's awesome! Lovely form and method, and insanely clean build! Where would one pickup one of those PCBs?

I love the enclosure! Great job!

I've been revisiting old-ish Goo Goo Dolls. For all the sappy ballad stuff they're now known for (some of which I dig too, I'm secure enough to admit it ;) ), the Superstar Carwash / A Boy Named Goo era had some straight up tones.

I've also been listening to a lot of Matt Pond PA, Morning Parade, and The Gaslight Anthem.

This has been a great thread to follow, plenty of great input, thanks all!

I traded a bit and I've got a Egnater Tweaker 15 coming to my house soon. For the price I got it at, I can afford to even do snobby things like drop MercMag or Classic Tone transformers in and still be less than new.

That is a great looking amp, I love the styling!

Haha, I noticed in playing around with it last night that the treble pot wasn't working, some weird solder bridge or cold solder joint thing with the solder points. Reflowed them and now I'm in business. Thanks! :)

i have the little egnater 15w head w matching 112 cab.  cute little thing.  once i put some decent tubes in it i actually like it for pedals quite a bit.

Which Egnater amp?

This is why I have such a hard time plunking my bucks down for a new production just-about-anything these days: I can build it and have it be better quality, more customized, or just more along the exact, anal-retentive lines of what I want (be it a partscaster, pedal, amp, etc).

I still do want a Carvin California Carved top (single cut). Those look awesome and seem to be a great deal. Anyone charging more than that had better have a darn good reason for it (and there are good reasons, but not all people building guitars for big bucks have those good reasons ;) )

So I'm a pedal junkie, and have been for a long time. I've run them into a few different amps, but I sold most of the amps I have as time went on, and then I quit the band scene for a few years, so I didn't really bother with anything big.

Now I'm looking to get back into it, and I'm finding that I'm a bit stumped on what kind of amp to play through. I'm not stumped because I don't get the amp selection, or how they work, just more that I'm just not wanting to pull the trigger on anything, be it production or something I build myself, without it being perfect. ("perfect" here being amazing cleans, amazing dirty channel, FX loop, no lame reverb, etc and blah blah blah)

I figured I should ask you guys what you're running your pedals though right now, just to get a biased opinion, sure, but biased by a bunch of builders and hobbyists that also want to amplify their cool pedal tones. :)

Did you notice the output being only fairly boosted at highest levels? I noticed on my build that I get unity about 1 or 2 o'clock, and even when cranked, the boosted signal isn't amazingly high compared with my bypassed signal. Am I off my rocker?

That looks way cool! Are there any more PCBs to be had for this project?
