General Questions / Pipsqweek/Ring Mod Diode Switch
August 02, 2018, 01:45:30 AM
This should be an extremely simple modification but unfortunately is not working! All I'm looking to do is to switch between two pairs of diodes: germanium and zener. On the schematic, the cathodes are common to each other while the anodes are connected to R9 and R10. Using a DPDT ON-ON switch, I drew up and implemented this switching scheme but doesn't work at all - anyone care to double check that this is correct? It works with a pair of diodes in the stock configuration minus the switch. Going mental over here! Much appreciated!!

Thanks mjg!!! Yes, good call on the switch orientation. I'll check this out tonight and report back.

I'm attempting to put one footswitch for momentary and another footswitch for latching bypass in one of my prototypes (green ringer). Tried this arrangement as per the diagram but when bypassed, it doesn't pass signal. I'm assuming the signal gets dumped to ground. Anyone else try this?

Would a 1776 Effects Finish Line Relay Bypass PCB work? Both switches would be SPST but one normally open and the other normally closed, wired to the same SW1 Terminals?

I've searched for this topic but haven't come up with any relevant info.
Thanks!!!
