Pardon me but i know this is not an overdrive...how about a buffer pedal with a little eq control so i dont need to run to the amplifier to change its tonal control whenever i change guitars...

General Questions / Re: MXR EVH flanger...help !
« on: May 10, 2019, 08:23:03 PM »
Thanks Scruffie...the flanger works on its own after readjusting the clock trimmer..( i leave it on that position ) as if nothing is is defective...when power is turned off, then turned on again...it will no longer flange!...ill have to readjust the clock trimmer again to make it work again...yes itís hard to trace w/o schematic...
By the way, i already replaced some electrocaps...those 4 in horizontal position.

Note: as a i momentarily shorts the clock trimmerís pin 2 & 3 it works as it should...until the power is reset again..

General Questions / MXR EVH flanger...help !
« on: May 09, 2019, 04:24:20 AM »
Iím trying to repair an MXR EVH flanger for my sonís friend...when powered on, you can hear the LFO sweeping loudly...in bypass mode the sweeping bleeds also. The BBD chip, MN3204 works fine ( i guess ) because as i turn the clock trimmer clockwise all the way, then turn counter clockwise, it is now flanging 100% as it should...no audible changes heard when the bias trimmer is turned in any position.
But as I reset the power...the flanging was gone, LFO again is heard sweeping loudly again....and when i repeat turning the clock trimmer as describe earlier...flanging now occurs normally.
As the EVH boards is SMT, thereís not much i can replace. I swapped out an MN3207 as it has the same pin config but has a higher delay stages...just to test somehow if the MN3204 is defective in some way. But same scenario happens with the MN3207. ( tho it ďflangeĒ in a different way ).
Any suggestions where should i look. Tnx in advance.

General Questions / Need +12v, -12v on Road Rage
« on: January 30, 2019, 10:34:34 PM »
..Hi y'all....i understand that a 9v input on the road rage will render an 18v and -9v outputs. A 12v input will scale to 24v output, but will i get a -12v on pin 5 of the charge pump?

thanks i advance

I would incorporate the write in each program button. Hold a program button down and the preset is stored on that button in the current bank.

The buttons are not aligned intentionally. I find the back row easier to access that way...

...yes..having the WRITE on each program buttons is way cooler and appropriate...
..i just wish you find plenty of time for the doing the upgraded version...
tnx

..got the same board from a trade 3 years ago from you...haven't finished it yet...but the only things i'm missing are the relays and power supply...
..if i may suggest considering you are planning to reprogam it...is it possible to incorporate the WRITE sw with the BANK sw?...holding the BANK sw for 3 seconds or so...to function as a WRITE sw...the reason for this is just to have 8 foot switches instead of 9 (on the first row) thus the 2 rows (presets and loops) are alligned vertically...
tnx

Global Annoucements / Re: Projects Page update

Should I have another button to view just the pdf docs, too? Is that convenient instead of having to d/l the zip with the doc and drill file, then unzip before you even see the doc?

This I prefer..
