I know its more stuff to carry around, but one of my band mates uses a Cusack Music Pedal Cracker on her pedal board and it's fantastic. Its like a foot controllable effects loop for interfacing pedals with a microphone signal. It does all the impedance matching for you and even has the option to add trails or even have the effect precede you turning it on, plus phantom power. It's super cool. She uses it with delay, reverb and distortion.

So I got it figured out in case anyone is looking to do this sort of thing in the future. I came across this page: http://www.muzique.com/lab/tbypass.htm which made it pretty simple. I just cross referenced that with the mud bunny schematic and figured out I just needed to lift the grounds on C11 and R18. I put that on a 3PDT with an LED and it worked like a charm. The extra boost you get from removing the tone stack is awesome! Sorry the guts are a little gross in this one, there is a vero blend circuit in there as well (its for Bass). Hope this helps someone out down the line! And thanks for the info JackSkellington!

Greetings y'all!

I feel in love with the tone bypass sound of the IC Muff (Pig Butt) and loved that you could put it on a foot switch and essentially have two different pedals in one circuit. I'm trying to do the same with the Mudbunny PCB now and am having trouble wrapping my head around it. I've been trying to use the Pig Butt schematic to cross reference the switching with the Mudbunny schematic but so far my efforts have not been fruitful. I'm thinking the start of the bypass would be around C10? I'm sure people have done this mod before I was wondering if I could get nudged in the right direction!

The Chase Bliss pedals are the most fun/inspiring pedals I've ever played! I haven't played a Brothers but I have a Blue and Red Knob Tonal Recall and they are divine. The new Thermae is some of the coolest innovation I've seen in an analog (digitally controlled) pedal platform. (no affiliation, just a uuuuuuge fanboy)

When you get around to it, you'll love it! I've built quite a few Russian Muffs and this one by far takes the cake. Thanks again for the PIF!

Hey, thanks everyone! It was a super fun build. I'll try and get some video of it eventually. The Green Ringer clone with the muff sounds sooooooo awesome. It's like a giant evil robot hell bent on taking over the world.

Greetings! I've bummed around this forum for quite a while and have popped in here and there but mostly I lurk in the shadows... But this latest build was too fun not to share. I wanted an end-all over drive for a new band I've been playing with and this was my solution. It starts with a Madbean Mudbunny built to Green Russian specs with NOS Transistors and Diodes that I was fortunate enough to receive from thesmokingman (X-Files is my favorite show!) during the holiday PIF-a-thon. Then it goes into a Green Ringer clone from PedalPCB. Next is a JHS Haunting Mids clone from PedalPCB (super fun for filter sweeps!) and finally into a 2-knob SHO from Guitar PCB. Not the cleanest guts I've pulled of but I don't have as much time to put in to that stuff as I used to! A dear friend of mine named Mary (http://www.hoteldanger.com/) did the fantastic artwork for me after I told her it was a sort of Frankenstein assembly of circuits. She nailed it! I have a few more builds I'll probably share in the future, but many thanks to Brian for the incredible projects and this wonderful forum and thanks to all of you for the years of knowledge and trouble shooting!

What I did for the buffered bypass I took from a madbean schematic of an old aquaboy deluxe pedal.  Input wires in place of c3. One of the wires goes to a 220nf cap nother side of the 220nf goes to the stomp switch and the momentary in my case. There is also a 100k resistor to ground that connects to that side of the cap. Then another 220nf cap with 100k to ground and a wire to the stomp switch. The other side of this cap is the other wires that goes to c3.

It works real well. No noise at all when activated.

The 3verb boards are exactly the same. So you could try that. There might be a better way to do this but it was the first I tried and worked perfectly.

I would really like to learn how to program some of these things. But looking at spincad I was lost. Thinking what the hell is a smoother.

Yeah, I tried to find some tutorials online and didn't find much. So I ended up downloading some patches people shared at the spinCAD forum and messed around with them to get a bit of an understanding on how it works. Hopefully with some more tinkering I can figure it out. My wife also knows some Java programming so maybe she can write some code from the ground up!

Thanks for the buffer info, I'm going to try that out for sure!

That's rad as heck, cool build. What did you use for the buffered bypass w/ trails? I was thinking the 3verb would be very neat with trails but didn't know where to go from there.  It'd be cool to have the D3lay with trails set up to repeat infinitely so after you turned it off the delays would repeat and you could play over them and then mess with the delay time via an expression pedal. I'll be posting a build soon of the Octagon I built that has a momentary expression switch. I used two DPDT toggles to select which pot is being used. These pedals are super fun, I programmed my first EEPROM yesterday so I'm excited to get into spinCAD.

I built the Hypernova a few weeks ago. It's great! Is kind or supermoon-like with a faster phase-type modulation. It was also one of the fastest builds i've ever done! The architecture for the FV-1 seems pretty simple. I'm super excited about the octagon!

So awesome! And Cab rips on a skateboard too! My favorite moments in pedal building have been making this for people/bands I admire.
