Mods / Re: Help With Triton Mod

I wonder if anyone could draw me a diagram or explain really simple like how to add the 100uf cap in parallel as noted in the build doc for the Triton?
I would like to do this mod on mine but unsure how to wire it.
Thanks for any help given
pretty straight forward. leave the leads long after you solder in 220u. then, tie the positive of 100u and 220u together, then solder. cut that short and insulate. I put mine on a stomp, DPDT, so I wired the negative side of 100u to center post, then wired from end post back to positive on 220u. soldered up, insulated and boom. I used the other side of the stomp to put in an LED so I'd know when it was off or on.

I'm trying to post some pics for ya, but photobucket is slow for some odd reason. i'll post as soon as the download.

PS

I see that there's a pic I posted before I put in the DPDT. the new pics will be better.

PPS

here's the pics I promised.

Mods / Help With Triton Mod

I've built a Triton v3.1. it has a cool mod, "adding a 100u cap in parallel on a switch. this allows for very long modulation transitions while retaining the option of the standard design."

I tried a toggle switch, but it was a pain. I decided to put it on a stomp. the problem is, I don't know if it's on or off. I'm trying to come up with a way to have an LED show on/off. I figured out how to show it off with an LED on. I'd rather have it LED on, mod on. LED off, mod off. the pic shows the switch in the lower right corner. all it does is connect the 100u cap hanging off the board in parallel with the 220u on the board.

anybody have any thoughts? it's a really cool pedal and a great mod!

Eventually, you get to a zen-like state of "f*** it, it's cheap as hell anyway".
+1!

I have some enclosures shaped this way. they are steel rather than aluminum. can they be etched the same way?

Layton, that looks super clean inside and you didn't wimp out by using 3pdt daughter boards. Isn't this the greatest sounding circuit ever? I'm in heaven when I use the distortion and phaser together on this thing. Brian did a great job.

Steve.
heck yeah, Bro! it's WAY cool!! that's what took me so long to box it up! I've gotten on you tube and learning "unchained". it's so close I can't tell much difference. I'm waiting for another pre order. I want two more!!

Layton

LOL. As soon as I started building mine I went looking how to play "unchained" too.
Still need to get the matched tranny's. Anybody have a source?
I can hook you up! I have a bunch of them matched up. Holler at me!

allrighty! man! your's looks absolutely awesome! I'm kinda ashamed to even show mine, but hey, I'm into function. I love fashion, but I have no imagination for that.

anywho, here's mine. it ain't pretty, but she's a hoss! this has got to be one of the best builds to date, at least for me. it's been built for a couple of weeks, but I've been playing with it on my test bench, and finally got'er boxed.

so without further adieu, here she is.

I assume that etching is only black and white? no color.

You can do that with any image editing software. I don't know if even Microsoft Paint can nowadays do it. I use free software called Gimp.  :)

I use Inkscape to create the image then there is a "horizontal flip" button in the toolbar. Whatever you use there should be something similar you can do to the image.
cool! i'll check in to it.

I think they wait until after somebody on this forum places an order before releasing a code. Just placed one about two days ago :(
I tend to have the same problem. not this time! lucky day!
