Tech Help - Projects Page / Snarkdoodle no drive.
August 25, 2011, 11:27:57 AM
Hello, I've built the snarkdoodle but when I turn it on it only bosts my signal. I got sound when the pedal is bypassed and when its on but no drive at all.
The vol pot works fine, but gain pot does nothing.
I have checked the polarity of the capacitors and the diode, and the values of capacitors and resistors, everything is OK.
I did not find a cd4049UBE so i'm using a NFC4049UBE I found in a local store.

WHILE I WAS WRITTING THIS I ACCIDENTALLY TOUCHED THE SOLDER SIDE IN THE SOCKET OF THE IC AND IT MADE A VERY LOUD SOUND (LIKE FEEDBACK) AND SUDENLY THE PEDAL WORKS PERFECTLY.
I DONT UNDERSTAND ANYTHING.

I'm afraid that if I turn the pedal off it will not work again...
Could somebody help me please...?

Hello.
I'm building a serendipity and I've found in a store near my house  a pair of TL2272 at 1€ each; if I want to use the AD712 I have to order it via mail and it will cost me 2,5€ plus 3€ shipping; so the question is: if I decide to use the TL2272 will it sound like a Serendipity or like something else? will it change the pedal in terms of sound? ??? ??? ???
I'm also planing to build a snarkdoodle and I have not found a CD4049UBE but a CD4049UB; is it that OK? ???
Thank You
