I would also try a frantone cream puff , that one goes fatter than the op amp bigmuff. Pedal PCB got a project of that one.

I sold mine a while back but the way I remember it the bias trimmer controls the frequency of the filter. So let's say you wanna plays mostly low notes you would turn it down and higher ones turn it up to have a more pronounced filter sound.

If I were you I would open it up and play around with the bias trimmer, if you then think you would want it as a knob and don't wanna waist that oh so good looking on art, I am pretty sure that a 9mm pot would fit on the side of the enclosure, my guess is that you used a 125b enclosure, if so it should be talk enough to have nice and snug under the pcb .

Very nice graphics !!! This circuit is really fun but I would highly recommend mounting the bias pot as a knob :/ you really loose a lot with having it inside as a trimpot imo ....!

Humm it looks like the 1550b might be a good alternative to a 1590b but it doesn't look cheaper so I dunno if it's worth it :/. I personally got addicted to 125b enclosures this pass year! Top mounted Jack's plus all the room you need to put in a audio transformer or big ass electro caps is just too good to pass !

As for the slope console type one you should try It. I got some but never really pulled the trigger on what to put inside. It does feels a bit flimsy in my hand, but still usable... Just don't expect it to stay in a pristine state xD . The best comparaison I can make is a old big box big muff... If you ever used one for a couple of years you know that the slope get pretty banged up, it feels pretty much like that.

Miso soup made with homemade dashi. Will probably make my own miso in the future (the Korean grocer near me doesn't have rice koji and I never remember to look for it at H Mart -- probably have to get it online), even though I like the brand I usually buy just fine. Had to sub in a different seaweed for kombu but I like how it came out, it was much better than my previous attempts (mostly because I actually looked up how to make it instead of just guessing on the proportions).

Sushi rice with homemade furikake (made with some of the leftover bonito flakes and seaweed from the dashi, dried in the oven with some salt, MSG, sugar, and soy sauce).

Some veggie dumplings mostly for my wife (who doesn't like soup) and some edamame for both of us.

Edamame are the f&#+ing best ! My girlfriend made me buy some for a recipe 2 years ago and what a discovery that was xD !!!. I do most of the cooking and from that day on out  I put them in everything xD rice, pasta, saute them with onions and put that on a burger, in soupe sky is the limit! Never tried it but I am pretty sure they are great even in a bowl of fruit loops :p

Same with the polychorus, but that one I got calibrate a few months ago and it sounds freaking awesome! I am in. Montreal and I always get customs charges on dhl orders. If it's a big order even with Canada Post I get stuck with some custom charges. So now I go dhl...its a lot quicker but in the end it will cost you more... Especially on small orders. !!!

I am in the same boat as you Timko! I ordered a kit off eBay a while ago for cheap and after a couple of build that didn't work properly I decided to test them.... And boy they were all off.

There should be no thinking about it, you have to get a breadboard on your next Tayda order 

But... I can't see any reason what you've drawn wont work, except for C10 being backwards and wildly oversized.

Yep I will get that ... Especially recently I have been wanting to mod some pedals I like, and breadboaring would help a lot. I can read a simple schematic ok and I have been looking at modifying circuits a bit like lego blocks xD zvex stuff looks kinda of easy cus it's basically all the same circuits :p . As far as c10 all the schematic of the mastotron I have seen have all the same values. I will use sockets and test everything out, I must admit that the jump from 33nf to 68 I get but then 100 UF seems like overkill !
