After isolating they all work fine by themselves. After some trial and error I noticed that 3 patch cables when plugged in between the tuner and ods cause some volume drop and one doesn't. They are all soldered sp400 with mogami cable that I made. The funny thing is that they test fine in a cable tester. Could I be getting some signal to ground and have them still pass some signal?

Will definitely try one by one later today. Power supplies are one spot cs6 and 12 as well as a single wall wart. This did just start recently.

Open Discussion / overdrive pedals low output, non-diy
November 16, 2022, 06:24:37 PM
I am having an odd experience where my zendrive, pot and morning glory pedals have to be dimed to reach unity and in the case of morning glory never gets there. They are just after my tuner which is first I. My board. I have tried different power supplies and cables with no luck. Anyone have any idea why this would happen?

Open Discussion / Excel inventory spreadsheet?
February 26, 2022, 08:11:04 AM
A while back I could have sworn I saw someone post an excel spreadsheet for use for parts inventory at home. Does anyone know where I can find this? I have been sifting through search results without much luck.

Tech Help - Projects Page / Woodstork bias issue
November 09, 2021, 03:19:55 PM
I was biasing a Woodstork that I finished a while ago and haven't boxed and can't seem to get the bias in range. The voltage coming off the Jack is 9.5v and the closest I can get at the test point is about 7.5. What can I do to get closer to range?

I have ordered from Paul in the past but shipping is now crazy to the states. Pedalhacker doesn't have much in stock at the moment either. Any tips on what buyers on eBay to buy in bulk from? I am going down this whole fuzz rabbit hole and have a bunch of variants I want to build and try and would be interested in doing my own sorting.

I was on the SB site today and no tested transistor sets are available for tonebenders. Does anyone know anything about this? I wonder if this is temporary or has he actually run out? Does anyone have any other sources for tested sets?

Open Discussion / DMM probe and socket?
December 03, 2020, 09:46:42 AM
Really stupid question and I had a hard time searching for the answer so i apologize but where would I find a DMM probe socket that I have seen people use on their JMK test rigs? I am building a new one after a friend claimed mine and want to make it a little more polished.

Thanks!

Yeah the fluke 101 doesn't measure current but voltage, capacitance and resistance.

Would you say measuring current is necessary?

Open Discussion / ~$50 multimeter suggestion
September 16, 2020, 05:14:42 PM
Hi all,

I'm getting back into things after a long hiatus and my harbor freight dmm is toast. I looked at some of the old threads about this but a lot of the models are discontinued or unavailable.im hoping to get something relatively decent but for sure less than $100. I have been looking at various models such as the fluke 101 but don't know if that is too bare bones for this stuff. I'm hoping to get some suggestions.

Thanks
