Not boutique, not vintage, and not rare (at all), but I wanted to share.

Never cared much about the ultra-popular DS1, because it is too popular to be cool, honestly. But this one was too cheap to pass on, second hand (it looks new, though), and I thought the remote control for "channel switching" was a cool feature too.

Cranking my Orange Dual Terror with this in normal setting in front sounds great indeed, you have heard that sound in so many records it's hard not to dig it. The Turbo option gets you a good lead tone, too.

Got me thinking, why do I bother searching the perfect tone, warmth, versatility, transparency or whatever, when I can get a couple cheap BOSS pedals and rock them loud... I play in pubs, who will hear the difference?. And of course there's no way you can break this pedal, no matter how hard or drunk you stomp on them!!

First time I've ordered just ONE pcb. I really want a dirtbaby :D

same here.. I was hoping for the hot toddy also but looks like it will have to wait. Brian is getting a bunch of chatter online about the Dirtbaby on other forums also. Can't wait to get my hands on it and give it a spin.

Cody

Another one here, don't want to wait!!

It's clean, quite neutral, i would say, not a bad clean tone. It gets dirtier if you turn it up past half or so, bright switch is for extra treble, nice for some settings i guess.
I think it realy needs some pedals un front, but that's not a problem for us, is it?:-)
Believe me or not, didn't open it up, yet. I'll post a pic!

Not much, but it's an amp, and it's new for me...
Bought it as an emergency amp, and had the opportunity to test it yesterday. Very nice considering what it is, played with a triangle muff with mids,  very useable and powerful rock tone.
And it's loud. 20 watts in a pocket.
