Build Reports / Re: Lowrider 2015 on perfboard

Thanks guys!
QuoteWill it fit in a 1590BB?
Yes it's designed for that, but I need to replace the pots. They are long legs...

Build Reports / Lowrider 2015 on perfboard
June 02, 2023, 05:44:44 AM
Hi everyone!
It's been a while since I posted anything but I'm quite proud of this one.
Lowrider 2015 minus the octave up section, on perfboard.
Working nice, still a bit fizzy but usable. Maybe something wrong with the Pots connection to VB....
I'm still lurking this forum almost everyday and still love this place.
Cheers !

Great build indeed! And a really great PCB design. You've become a KiCAD master !
I've always regret my original CS-9...
Could you please share you're schematic ?

It's annoying but KiCAD doesn't have a standard 3PDT symbol.
It's maybe time for you to learn how to create a new symbol, or you can import mine attached.
You need to create you own symbols library and import that file into it.
Mine is associated with madbean's 3PDT footprint.
This symbol is for KiCAD 6.
If you have any difficulty, let me know.

Do you use the Madbean footprints library ? There is potentiometer pads, various switch pads, audio jacks & DC jacks, and 4 sorts of single pads.
If you don't use this library, you can use the KiCad inline socket footprint, just choose the number of pads you need.
See picture attached.

Quote- (Infrequent) newsletters to announce releases or milestones via email, etc.
I would like that. One per month max is the good amount.
I don't look at the forum very often now but I would like to still be aware of what's going on at your shop.
Especially when you do limited offers, etc.
I don't use fasebook and all the others...

Happy birthday Brian!

Just installed a set of "IN111" (.011 - .052) on my Jaguar and I think they are great!
Thanks for the tip.

No problemo!

ookay, I get something.
The (+) & (-) pads at the bottom of the Aquaboy board are for a LED not for powering the board.
You need to run wires from (+15) and a (G) of the 3PRR to the (+) & (-) pads of the +9V at the top of the aquaboy board, next to the feedback pot pads.

QuoteZombiesonore had understood something, but maybe fater ask me he miss this topic.
No, I've followed the topic but when Jkokura and Midwayfair jumped in, I humbly leaved the topic because they know better! ;-)
So, after all, you seemed to have experienced the same "issue" that I had with my build. I've used a 1M for "release" and it was unusable... I don't remember if I've finally used something around 470k or a jumper...

Please post good pictures with all the wiring.

To one of the (G) pad of the 3PRR.

Hi there,
looking at the documents and the schematics, you should wire the send (S) pad of the 3PRR to the (S) pad of the Aquaboy board.
And, of course the Return (R) of the Aquaboy to the (R) of  the 3PRR.
