there are 1/4" drive crowfoot wrenches out there ...

you need to trace and continuity test your power supply components against ground as a start. expand from there and test the rest of the circuit.

I saw he cried about not wanting it traced over at fsb and let it go when it came to my personal curiosity(and abjectly lost respect for thorpy). I tend to ride the fence on things like this, you respect a person's business but at the same time you know they got where they are now by peeking behind the curtain of someone else's work.

I've built one with ac122s as a kit from musikding in germany (first pedal I ever built in fact), did one with ac128 because I thought I was somehow missing something, and 2n404. low gain pnp silicon would be neat for a different flavor ... there's also the spam can transistor version of the fuzz factory ... my problem with this post is wrapped around terminology. words are important and it is important to make a distinction between a preamp and an effects pedal because they are not the same thing. so when you tell me you have a sunn model t preamp or a fender style preamp, those are both tube preamps. keeping them solid state doesn't mean you go out and get a wampler black 65 and an earthquaker acapulco gold pedal and feed those into the power amp like that is the same thing.
