I dont have much time right now, but when I do I'll try to record something!

Awesome, thanks!

Yes I did! I used a momentary dpdt to short lug2&3 of both the feedback pot and the mix pot. The internal trimpot helps get the exact amount of volume/feedback you want.

I changed the tone section a bit (to get a slightly flatter response), so it affects the way the feedback pot behaves.

Nice! Any chance you could make a quick demo of it?

Looks really good! I have never tried glow in the dark -paints. Is there any difference to regular spray paint?

I plan on adding a 2nd footswitch (momentary) to have infinite feedback or mix or both, but that's it I think (and socket a couple caps around the PT2399 chip, should it be too noisy)

Hey,

Did you end up adding a second footswitch? I'm currently populating my Moodring and this would be interesting. Some kind of "infinite" reverb would be awesome. I always like oscillation stuff.  ;D

I got the 100W version of that amp: https://www.instagram.com/p/zpkZFUQ3yy/?taken-by=mikaaneikelvannut

Great amp. Super loud and one of the best sounding bass combos I've played. I think I paid around 250 euros of it in 2006.

By the way, your pictures look amazing, nice photographing skills!

Thanks! Nothing that special about them, just taken in my backyard with sturdy tripod and telefoto lens. Actually I kinda hate that the first image has crooked horizon. I fixed that for Instagram, but somehow uploaded the wrong version here. ;D

Hello,

Start by checking out this thread: http://www.madbeanpedals.com/forum/index.php?topic=902.0

Post voltages and good quality photos of both sides of PCB.

on the pic of the solder side. The left resistor soldered in on the back. It's hard to see but make sure it doesn't touch the solder joints on top.

Yeah, looks like it in the picture, but sadly that's not case. :( Went though all the solder joints and visually inspected board, but didn't find anything wrong.

Next I will swap IC11 and IC2 and see if that makes any difference. Still suspecting IC11 to be faulty.

Nope, wasn't it. Swapped those ICs around and no difference. I hear effected signal on the input (pin 2) of IC11 but not in the output (pin 6).

Starting to get really frustrated. I've probably spent five times more time on the debugging than on the building of this pedal. Maybe I should just buy new PCB and start from scratch..  :-\

Thanks! I played it bit more and I really like how versatile it is. I can highly recommend for anyone looking for really great phaser.

Build Reports / Doppelbanger

Super late for the party, but here's my Doppelganger build I finished yesterday. I ordered PCB well over year ago, friend of mine draw the graphics (and titled it DoppelBanger) last winter and I finished the wiring yesterday. The texts got all messy because first paint marker I used didn't like the clear coat. Live and learn.

Went straight to my pedal board. :)

Guts:

Edit. Fixed the photos

Dont want to start another thread for this but I can't seem to get LED wiring to work how I feel it should with 2 in 1 pedals.
I've built a few and first I normally try running the pedals 9v tap and a single CLR to the 9v pos of the power supply and then 2 wires coming from the other end of the resistor each going to a separate LED, but for some reason when I do this I can't have both LEDs lit at once. To do this I always have to take 2 separate resistors to the + power supply.

1. What are the layman physics behind this phenomenon and why doesn't my way work?
2. Is there a better way than trying to get 3 separate wires going into the +9v (2 CLRs and the board +9v tap)?

1. Ohm's law. When only one of the LEDs are on, the whole amount of current (9V/CLRs value) goes through the LED. When both are on the current is split equally. Always recommended to use separate CLRs for each led. Also helps to get the LEDs to same brightness.
2. Depends on the board you are using. For example most (if not all) Madbean boards have another 9V pad for LED. Also most of the 3PDT breakout boards have multiple 9V pads so you can chain them together. Or if you don't feel comfortable soldering multiple wires to the power connector you can use a piece of veroboard or something similar to split the wire.
