I followed the instructions in the pdf and thought the wieringdiagram showed the component side of the pcb.  I will try to swap leg 1 and 3 tomorrow and report back. Thanks

Correct, it does show the component side. The wiring diagram is kinda fail on my part. It's labeled as 1-2-3 but the illustration of the pot does not match it correctly. I can fix this. But, it is also pretty clear from the build pic that it's supposed to be wired that way.

It should be mounted underneath.

Resistor change for R5 and correction to making a 5kA pot out of a 10kA has been updated in this documentation.

Errata, Corrections, Revisions / Mudbunny Single Sided
August 03, 2011, 05:03:19 PM
The layout diagram for the single sided (etched) version depicts the transistors for a BC549C pinout, but the document did not mention this. I have made a note and re-uploaded it.

Thanks to Ben H. for the heads-up!

Photoshop for all de graphics.

Hmmm...maybe a pic so I can put another set of eyes on the wiring. Sounds like you have things hooked up correctly, though.

Build Reports / Re: Prototyping rig #3

I wish I were joking when I say I'm working on 4 delay designs simultaneously. Wait, five. Oh, fudge. Not all to be released, obviously, but rather to decide which are the best ideas. I have one other idea for a multiple PT2399 delay which I'd like to explore....done in a kind of clever way (or not). Not much else to say really until I get the designs locked down.

Build Reports / Prototyping rig #3

I keep filling up breadboards so I had to build number 3 rig. This one has an audio probe built out of a pen, which is so incredibly convenient. I breadboarded a new delay design with it over the weekend (using the Holtek 8955A).

Have you reversed the polarity of the supply to +0v and flipped the electrolytic caps for negative ground?

Are you getting 5v out of that regulator? I'm betting that's the problem based on what you said.

Yes.

I've finally finished assembling the loophole, but I'm having some issues with it. If the record switch is engaged, both the record light and the play light are both on.

This is normal. You can see the same thing in the video: http://www.madbeanpedals.com/forum/index.php?topic=2354.0

The playback switch is actually an "enable" switch. When you toggle the record switch it enables the device at the same time (kinda weird, but that's how it works).

As for static, that part isn't right, obviously. You may need to audio probe the ISD chip to see what's going in and coming out.
