2019 and yet no mini amps plan....

Not true! I already have the prototype PCB for a sub-mini amp. I just haven't had time to build it yet. And, it uses a SMPS for about 80v!

I really want to replay all of the Monkey Island games.  (Actually, I only played 3 of them back in the day).

Some memories:

a rubber chicken with a pulley in the middle (and a shop specializing in such)

the corrosive properties of grog

a giant cotton swab as a key

borrowing a book called Great Expectorations

winning sword fights through creative insults

sawing the peg leg off of a sleeping pirate

making vichyssoise avec rat hairs

Looks like a cap to me.  Are there any markings on it?

I've had one of my giveaways ready for months, ever since I accidentally ordered two instead of one.  ::)

My policy (written on my syllabus) was to divide the grade equally between the two copied reports (i.e., 100% would become 50% for each of them).  I still got some thesaurus-style copying ("We measured the voltage" became "We determined the voltage") and some passive-voice, somewhat Yoda-like in its repetition, reordered copying.  I couldn't blame them too much.  It was tedious stuff that didn't really effectively assess writing skills anyway.

I'm up for submitting my VFE Mega Pedal build!
Can I vote for that one more than once? ;D

I definitely want one of those pretested 6111 tubes.  I've done everything I can with the one I got from smallbear.  I'll probably be ordering something else soon (build backlog be damned), so if you don't mind setting one aside....

I'd recommend buying parts kits from Smallbear:

Whoa!! MAJOR flashback.  I'd totally forgotten about Meccano.  I'm not sure but think it was more of a UK/CDN thing.
In the US, we had (have?) Erector instead of Meccano.  Now, Meccano owns the Erector brand.

Anyone here see the TV program where James May crossed a Meccano bridge in Liverpool?

I still remember all the Doom cheat codes and, of course, the Contra cheat code.

Can't remember what I ate for breakfast yesterday.

The maze in Atari's Adventure... I picked up a 2600 last year, hadn't played adventure for probably 35 years, breezed through it.

Surely everyone else has this problem, right?
I can assure you that I have the exact same problem.

If it only says SPDT, it should be on-on.  On-off-on is more of a specialty switch, so it should certainly be spelled out in the docs if it is used.

A SPST is always an on-off switch.  It only has two contacts, so it can't have two on positions.  Although a SPDT is usually used, with only two terminals connected, where a SPST is called for.  In this case, an on-on SPDT makes a good SPST switch.

You've nearly spelled out the nomenclature in your question.

ON-ON
ON-OFF-ON, sometimes called center-off

If the switch is momentary type, parentheses are used around the corresponding ONs and OFFs.

There are also ON-ON-ON DPDT switches, which are very useful and can even be wired as a SP3T.
