J107 VGS(off) min/max -0.5/-4.5

Tayda doesn't have J113 at all.
J107 = 255 in stock and they're TO-92

I bought Paul's phaser but he doesn't sell matched sets. I didn't want to solder 20 smds to the match then.
I found a link in a post on here somewhere and now can't find it to a site the shows jfets with similar stats that you input but now I can't find it.
Someone has linked it searching for the 2n5952 and one of the similar ones was the j107. I can't find the site in my internet history either and don't know enough about jfets.
How close are the smd 2n5457?
Do I need to match them?
Are they that good?

Thanks haberdasher, I'll keep that in mind. Do you post to Australia? Everyone I've seen that sells matched sets doesn't ship here.

General Questions / how 2 blend 2 circuits

Here is my first post for a while if ever.

I have an effect circuit that I want to parallel with a Clean drive circuit and blend it back in together.
1 input -> split to 2 circuits -> blended together with a pot to integrate the clean over the top of the effect. I didn't want to blend the effect out, just integrate the clean into it to 1 output.
How do I do this?
I had the input going into a pot to blend between the 2 circuits but when it mixed the whole circuit turned into a distortion and I got no clean integration.
I think it was at the junction where the 2 signals mixed back together that it got messed up.
Essentially I wanted it to sound like a clean boosted guitar playing the same thing as a distorted guitar next to each other.
Is this even possible?
Will it work?
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I'll have to make a few adjustments then.
I bought 510 resistors before doing my research and like an eager idiot I already soldered them into the circuit, then accidentally found some info about it, and the rest is history, unfortunately.
At least I can replace the resistors.

Edit:
I tested the 510 and yes they lit up the room.
I found some 13k and tested them and much better.

I'm using his germanium fuzz mod as well so hopefully this will be awesome.

On another note.
The LED current limiting resistor, all guitar pedals seem to have 2k2 - 4k7 ohm CLRs. However most places only recommend a 510 ohm (max, depending on the LED Specs) resistor for 12 volts.
Why do guitar pedals use such a high resistance?

How/where would I add a tone pot to the circuit and what size cap would I use for it?

As Paul from GIYGuitarPedals is taking care of his family (Family First mate, best of luck to you and your son) I'm asking here for some assistance.

I bought Paul's 7min Fuzz and I want to incorporate it into a combination pedal that's running off of 12 volts.
It's a 12au7 Tube boost & distortion pedal that requires 12v.

So I roughly calculated that for the 7min Fuzz to work on 12v I need to increase the voltage of R1 (10k Ohm) to a 12k or 13k ohm resistor?
Can someone with better electronics knowledge confirm this please?

Also I only have a 50k Ohm Audio pot will this be ok for the Volume control?
His circuit requires a 100k Ohm Audio pot.
