Thanks, I answered my own question w/testing.

OK, I've got the rest the parts and I am progressing with the build.

I was wondering if someone would mind verifying what I'm doing. I have two pots that I need to change from A5K to A2.5K. I ended up using a 5.6k resistor (this came from actual, direct measurement) bridging the outer lugs.

I now get a value of 2.475K.

Does this sound correct?
Answered my own question empirically. This doesn't activate the wiper.

Or do I need to place a different value resistor in-between legs 1 and 2 & 2 and 3?
This looks to be correct, at least to direct measurement.

I didn't realize he lives very close to me. I donated what I could.

I was going to say, I also have one of those modules and I have no idea what project I bought it for.

Sorry I can't let it go. I spent over 20 years in the medical field in many different positions from high to low. I cannot begin to relate to you all of the horror stories I have witnesses due to the lack of what should be a basic human right.

There is an insane amount of profiteering that goes on in our medical system from drug companies and device manufacturers to the insurance companies themselves and none of it benefits the patient, and only lines  the pockets of those who are already rich.

All right stepping down off of Soapbox.

Update on L5 project.

Just missing is one resistor,  one cap and a couple of ICs. I was able to trade for the enclosure. Missing pots are on their way.

,The question is Ken they get here before I have to pack up the final bids for the move.

That is definitely the coolest thing I have seen in at least a year. OK so Mine is not going to be that cool, but  for a first effort I think it's gonna be pretty bad ass.

We will know pretty soon whether or not I'm able to pull this off. Once again, I can't thank you guys enough for your help. I'm glad that I'm finally slowing down and trying to build my knowledge base, because that is what I really lack.

Doing stuff like this and going off on a tangent I find that I always learn a great deal.

Somnif,

I have gone off the deep end.

I thought I had some Vero or Strip board around here but I can't seem to find it with the move.

So, I am hand wiring my own circuit board or grid. Whatever you call this thing that I'm doing.

If I can just take what's in my minds eye And translate it into something physical it's gonna be pretty cool.

I'm taking pictures I go to document build.

We'll see what shakes out a couple days.

That was an education. I definitely see a project for the future. Although I did see an ad for amplified part and will have to avoid that.

I'm curious about this and would like to learn more but I don't even know what to put into Google to search for it.

What is this called?
