Checking in this morning, I am still logged in from yesterday, so the system is remembering me.

We're back! My avatar did not show up first either, and a different user name was appearing; that seems to have sorted itself out.

Looking forward to the restocks; I have parts for a Current Lover itching to be installed.  :D

This illustration from GeoFex might help...

Verified 7 builds as fully ready today. I found small errors on two other projects that will require re-running those boards. Not a big deal. Just a couple dumb mistakes on my part.

And, here's my build of the Woodshed fuzz which sounds absolutely awesome!

Well, THAT looks interesting...

Not dense at all! 125B requires extra space at the top end to fit the jacks and you have to make compromises to offer both options for 125B and 1590B simultaneously in a single PCB layout.

Frankly, I already did that in 2020 with a bunch of projects and sometimes that required a mix of 16mm snd 9mm pots. I dont think thats the best approach anymore. This series is about focusing on a specific layout standard for 1590B with minimal wiring and different bypass options. And, also because I want to make it easy for people that want to use the Tayda drilling and UV print service at the same time. These weren't even options just a few years ago.
Does this mean that all projects with, for example, two pots and a toggle switch (plus foot switch, jacks, etc.), will share the same drilling pattern? So if we build one and get tired of it or whatever, we can repurpose the enclosure without any modifications?

Great news! Will the Trash Compactor be returning?

Yes. Even though it was just released recently, it's already being ported to the Standard Series. I'm going pretty scorched earth on everything I can. I plan on having the TC in the next batch of SS releases after this initial 10.
Fantastic! Definitely felt some FOMO on that one.

Ordered!

Yeah, I am just going to go ahead and order from Tayda. Now that I think of it, it was probably caps that I had some trouble with, not resistors.

When did Mouser start having this 200 resistor minimum? I've been a little out of the loop for the last couple of years and have not kept up.

Looking at the board in the pdf it looks to me like standard resistor spacing for 1/4w's, no need for something physically smaller.
dave
There are two 1/4w's, but everything else is smaller; this is indicated in the Shopping List.

I had NO idea how much Mouser has apparently changed in the last few years, and I am now looking at spending a boatload of $$$ to get the ⅛w resistors for a Man O' War Deluxe. I've had spotty luck with Tayda resistors values in the past; Small Bear would probably be over $60 for all the values I need; and the Vishays at Mouser are about the same size as ¼w. Any ideas?

Barring that, will I have to use ¼w and stand them up?

Quote from: madbean on February 20, 2021, 06:50:36 PMSure. Just omit the entire LFO area that starts at R54 and ends with the Depth pot and LDR. If you do that you still have the the same delay time but no modulation.

Thanks. Does that mean everything in the lower left portion of the schematic, i.e. R54–63, C41–43, IC7, RATE pot, T/O/S switch, LED3, D4, LDR, and DEPTH pot? No jumpers necessary?

I tried uploading an image to illustrate, but it would not appear in the preview.

Wow! Great, thanks Brian. Can the Deluxe be wired up without the modulation? I have not looked closely at the PDF for it.

Is it just temporarily out of stock, or is it being discontinued?

I found a vero layout for a swell circuit (http://i114.photobucket.com/albums/n273/rousejeremy/swellvero.png) and was wondering if anyone has incorporated something similar into a Wolfshirt to approximate the early 90s Experience pedal from Prescription Electronics.
