I have used HP Glossy Presentation Paper (Office Depot/Max $6.99) and it have given me some great results. I use that paper exculsively for my PCB etching also.

Here is a quick tutorial I made for a buddy for PCB etching.

As far as enclosure etching, I found it worked best for me to sponge on the etchant and use a light rubbing motion.

This was my first enclosure etch.

I will try solder the component to the trace.  I needed a break from before I ruined something else.  Haha.
for sure. It's slightly harder to solder it to the trace rather than the next component in line, but you'll get it,stepping away is the ideal thing to do.i try to never solder after about 10pm,it's just trouble.

I was thinking of this.. and I seem to do my best work after 11:00pm... What I do is drill all my enclosures before 10:00pm so my neighbors won't kill me and I populate them all night. As long as I am in bed by 2:00am I can survive the next day.

Someone got a powder coater around christmas from Harbor Freight, but they have been quiet about it since they got it. I think it was like 60 bucks.

oh I would be interested in see some results from that.. I got a HF like 5 minutes from me.

I came across this company http://www.eastwood.com/paints/hotcoat-powder-coating.html

I was wondering if anyone else does this on the cheap? I see these Eastwood kits go for under $150 on eBay and I was looking for any tips on this.

Thanks guys. I hope to have a sound clip soon since I like to post them on my blog with my builds. Its a fun fuzz and it seems like I keep getting new sounds out of the thing. The hard part is remembering the settings that I like.. so I made notes and pictures in my iPhone. lol

April fools never ceases to amaze me every year.. I love it.

Very cool build and thanks for the information. I will make sure my OpAmp BMP is set up that way. I am curious since I do like the sound of my clone.

Beautiful etch and its definitely something you can look back and remember the time your son and you built it. I have a pedal my wife painted and I love the memories it brings back.

Yet another thing to go onto my 'to buy' list!

How are you finding it to use?

Sent from my thumbs using Tapatalk!

It's wicked easy.. I pulled out a box of AC128's and all I did was hook up the leads and hit 1 button. It will tell me the gain & leakage and I just took notes on each one to match em up. There are a few YouTube vids out there of some great reviews. I have only scratched the surface with the PC/USB connection. The device is really straightforward.

i think it is a transistor tester, tells you the type, pinout, gain, leakage, etc...

It is a Semiconductor Analyser and it save so much time. One of the things I absolutely love about it is the fact that any of the three leads can be connected to any of the legs on a semiconductor and it will tell you that the green lead is on the collector and the red lead is on the emitter and so on.. so no guessing on the older transistors. I got it hooked up to a laptop last night and was able to make some of my own spec sheets of leakage and gain, it was awesome.

Simple, straightforward fuzzes are the best! I really like the clean look; what stamps did you use for the labeling? I've been looking for some nice small ones like that.

Thanks for the nice comments. I had a hell of a time with waterslides so I decided to try this for a bit. Tell you the truth I have no idea what kind of stamps they are. My wife got them in a discount bin at Joans Fabrics for a buck. There is no name or label on the plastic box sorry.

yaaa! my new Peak DCA Pro got here today. The only bad thing I can say about it so far is that software is Windows only.. so I am going to test it in wine on my MacBook.
