You guessed, Kosmopolit is Cosmopolitan in swedish.

I guess we all need something now n then to get us back on the road of inspiration. This time i just felt like boxing it a bit straightforward-dirty, no decals and with the cheapest possible bulk components (i have a bunch of ceramics +1nF that i really never use...).

The pcb is my own, but i wont take any credit for that at all, its pretty much a straightforward ripoff of the Madbean ditto with just one addition; i replaced R11 with a trimpot (someone here came up with that idea... but sorry i dont remember who, and i dont find it with the search function. If you read this, feel free to raise a hand:) ).

The box is a Purple one from bcoles, funny it looks more blue in the pics. Fooled by my desktop LED lamp i guess.

And the sound of it? I just done a functional quiet test so far, but it really sounds promising. As i read a lot of positive stuff about this box i really look forward to make it loud:)

Cheers!

Dig this one a lot. BTW, I think 'Boxed by Bengt' is a great moniker. Snazzy layout, too. Top notch!

Very cool. I really dig the knob layout. Will need to try that with a modded Rat I am building.

Its an AC127, the only npn i had at hand, so i cant compare it to anything. But so far it sounds good to me:).

... The name has a ring. ...
This is a bit of a riddle to me... i am missing the point though im confident it is a compliment. A language thing? Care to explain what it means in this context?

Thanx for replies:)

What Leevibe means is that the name has an appeal. A certain sounding name is easy to memorize but also fun to say. Some people refer to them as 'taglines' basically they are easy to say and easy to tell other people about. Does that make sense?

Leevibe

Yep. It's my American way of saying the name sounds cool. I even like the spelling. It just gives it a sense of sophistication.

Vallhagen

Makes perfect sense to me. Got it:)

Thanks for the linguistic lesson!

And thanx for commenting the build too!

You will love it cranked! It's a great circuit.

My Cosmo looks pretty DIY but I like it that way. Your build makes me realize it would be cool to build one with a fabbed board sometime as well.
