wow!

I thought we could have a thread where we could just post DIY builds that amaze us. (sorry guys if such a topic exists already, but I don't think it does) You know, you're having your morning coffee, you're scrolling down the FB news feed, and then bam! something like this flashes before your eyes, and you're like - shiiiiiiiit I gotta share this!

the Sonic Crayon stuff is amazing
its a shame its not more widely available; it means most models are unobtaininium
they are also relatively esoteric, so dropping the $£ on one is a risk if you want something that covers more traditional bases also

Still, beautiful in and out

What is that 100+ or whatever pin IC in the middle of the Sonic Crayon board? It says diy delay. Is it?

That looks like an Osh board. How do you solder that? Flux and oven? Tiny minions?

Do yourself a favor and check out all his other works. Also wear a chin guard for all the jaw drops. Goes by cloudscapes on a lot of forums or Sonic Crayon.

With swearing and desoldering braid to clean it up.

I stumbled upon Hexe guitar pedals and this stuff is very impressive.

If my photos are missing again... they're hosted by photobucket... and as of 06/2017 being held hostage... to be continued?

Oh jeez I want that Sonic Crayon Delay - just for the weirdness.

The SVI stuff is beautifully done, but too much steam punk looks like they've just bolted a lot of useless crap to the thing and called it "art".

Goggles are overdone, too.

I should say that Jules Verne is one of my all time hero authors, though :D

Svi pedals are cool, but I usually like more simple stuff.

Basic Audio and Liquitone have some beautiful finishes/guts:

It takes a bit of practice, but that can all be done by hand.  Definitely need a bit of flux and a fine tipped iron, though.
