Sagan Delay Switch Popping

I finished my Sagan Delay last June, but always had an issue with the way it has a volume increase past unity.  I put a bypass footswitch in the circuit, as well as the normal footswitch to turn the delay off/on as in the design.  So after talking with DiabloChris6, I lowered R2 to 470K, which seems to have resolved my unity issue.

However...Now, when I turn off the bypass and engage the circuit, I get a very noticeable pop that was certainly not present before.  I'm not sure if the issue is related to something I did when I took it out of the enclosure (it's got a million wires), and I'm most likely going to take the whole circuit (+reverb +mod board) out of the box and see if something is wonky.  But I wanted to see if the switch pop was related to either my changing of R2 or perhaps something with the way I put the footswitch back in.

Thanks!
