True story

"Puttin' People On The Moon" is a very angry song. And you can see why, very clearly.

"Tornadoes" is very low key, for the devastation they can cause.

"Cottonseed" demands a movie made around it, damn this is cool.

"Daddy's Cup" I'm a bit ambivalent about. On the one hand, he's just racing in an oval. No hairpin bends, no follow-through, nothing fancier than a stretched circle. But it's still very, very compelling. (Richard Hammond did a segment on NASCAR on Top Gear. Clark introduced him for it as "Richard J Cheeseburger Hammond the Third".)

Lately... it's a whole lot of Jason Isbell and Noah Gunderson. Two of the best storytellers through song out there today.

I rediscovered my love for This Will Destroy You. The first album uses lots of delay, so that kept me busy with my ZPSDX this weekend. Just fyi, there's a new record to be released early September.

I build pedals to hide my lousy playing.

I just discovered this was leaked... sorry for them (except if it was marketing)

On a road trip I pulled out Jack Logan's "Mood Elevator" which I hadn't listened to in years. Unlike much of his recorded output, which can be wildly inconsistent, this one is great from start to finish. Literate alcohol infused stories of separation, sadness and regret, with desperate rock n' roll being one's means of coping and surviving.

Hadn't heard this in quite some time and it popped up on my ipod this afternoon, a Bob Mould fave... anguish and despair.

Saw this on Letterman a while ago. Great guitar playing by performers that actually seem to be having fun. The fact that Gabriela is incredibly hot is just a bonus.
