Hey All I'd like to build a pedal the works like the master volume and channel volume on an amp where by If I crank up channel volume and lower master I get an overdriven sound or crank master vol and a lower channel vol and I get a clean sound. Is this possible without the use of tubes? Can anyone point me in the direction of a wiring diagram? Cheers Paul

Most overdrives and distortions will do this -- Volume is like 'Master Volume' on an amp, while Gain is like channel volume. Chunk Chunk will do it, although you need really low gain for ANY clean from that one. LaVache is a far less gainy amp-like distortion that does clean better.

The easiest to build would be the EM drive

Pedal building is like the opposite of sex.  All the fun stuff happens before you get in the box.

NO GOD NO DO NOT SUGGEST THAT ANYONE BUILDS THAT THING. Especially beginners. I swear, that thing causes more beginner troubleshooting posts than any other circuit in history.

Thanks all for responses. Have built an EM drive clone. Sounds good
