This is a Cave Dweller I've been working on and have finally finished. I had questions that were answered:

I did the maximum repeats mod suggested in the build doc, changed R12 to 3k3. I tried lower values but they muddled the repeat sound making the pedal fairly useless. I used a 100KB pot for the Delay to give myself more time, which is a good mod, creates some very strange clicking noises when turned past 60%. A 75KB pot would have been a more usable range if I had any of those. I added a momentary footswitch for self-oscillation. A fun build for a beginner like me and I learned a lot. I've been having a good time with it, especially in the chain with a digital delay and some noise. When I'm using it I find that I always have the Mix at 100%, whether because of the repeats mod or something else, and I think if I build this again (which I probably will since I ordered 2 of these) I'll do the maximum output mod suggested in the build doc.

Nice build!
For the 75k pot, you just have to put a 300k resitor in parallel with your 100k delay pot

Thanks! So if I'm understanding correctly, that means connecting a 300k resistor to pins 2 and 3 of delay pot?

Something new every day, I wouldn't have thought of that but now have found a bunch of info about it, including this calculator that I used to verify the resistor value: http://www.diystompboxes.com/analogalchemy/emh/emh.html

Trippy enclosure there. I like it. Good job on getting this thing going.

If I recall correctly, yes, those would be the pins!

Thanks for comments! I have fun with the painting, just go for it. The more I play with it the happier I am with the delay length. I might not use the full range very often, but even with the clicks, the long delay is incredibly fun to play around with, noisy but so good. I'd recommend a 100KB pot there based on my experience, and a 2-4KB pot for the 'Attack' if you are into that sort of thing. Turning it up there is a sweet spot where it borderline oscillates but not to the point of volume swell, very cool to play around with.
