A friend of mine has an electronic drum kit that has an inductor (I think) that burnt/exploded. How would I determine the value to replace it with? I don't have a schematic.

Are you talking about one of the pad triggers? A lot of them use piezos for triggers which should be easy to replace. Or is it part of the sound module?

Part of the sound module, I can post a picture tonight when I get home. I think it's a series of inductors & capacitors with something to do with a headphone jack.
