Hi! I've recently completed EGO driver, using this scheme.

Today i was able to compare it to original OCD v1.7, and i feel that EGO pedal has more low end. For example, when i set tone knob on original OCD to 12 o'clock, i had to set tone on my EGO to 15-16 o'clock to make them sound pretty close. Also, i feel that original OCD has a wider range of tone knob setup. I tried to change C8 from 47n to 22n, and looks like EGO became more midranged, but no significant changes on a tone knob. Is there anything i can do to get my tone closer to the original pedal?

The Ego Driver was based on one of the earlier versions of the OCD...maybe 1.2? I don't remember exactly. So, it depends on what has changed from that version to ver 1.7.

Looking at the pic on the link below, ver 1.7 has a 100kB volume pot. That would explain some of the difference in low end. I would choose 100kA instead because the OCD can have a lot of output and an audio taper would be my preference in that case. Anyway, I'd start there. You could reduce the low end output further by reducing the value of C3 to 56n or 47n.

Thank you! As a result, I changed C3 to 47 n and C8 to 22 n. Now, my pedal has not so much low end as before and sounds brighter. Comparing to OCD 1.7, my EGO still has a little more mids, but that works for me!
Here is a small test file. Same settings for both pedals: gain - 13 o'clock, tone - max. to the right. Amp and cabinet emulation - Guitar Rig 5.
