Did you see this?

I'm wondering if that is real or a joke.

Pedal building is like the opposite of sex.  All the fun stuff happens before you get in the box.

They might be able to fit a few more on the bottom if the get rid of the battery!

someone forgot to spend the 20 cents for a metal washer?

This is why I must stress the importance of proper soldering area ventilation.

the "SD-1 From Hell"

Machine translation of the goods:
"This item is not sales of finished goods, it will be processing cost of modify.
Modify Boss SD-1 with the following contents.
· Part upgrade
· 3 Band EQ installation
· 3 steps of clipping switching
· Low fat switch, high boost switch mounting
· 1 volume booster addition
· LED color change

Since this item will be a thing to remodel by keeping pedals from the customer, we need to prepare the main body.
After transfer, we will ship the pedals to you, we will return it after the modification process, but we will contact you by return mail regarding the time of deposit."

So, you send them an SD-1 and 220$, they send you back this monstrosity.

They also do other ridiculous mods, like.... who wants a mod'd boss Tuner!

Mote and more, I'm finding that knobs on my pedals get set to a certain position and never moved again.  To avoid something like these monstrosities (sure, they're "flexible", but, damn, they're ugly), I'd probably consider (briefly, before scrapping the whole idea, probably) internal trimpots with access holes.
