As a lot of pedal builders on here are aware but Tayda's smooth shaft pots come in either 6mm or 6.35mm.
My problem is when it comes to knobs, When I put a knob on the 6mm I find that they dont look straight from the side so that when you turn it makes the knob look wonky. So because of the thinner shaft its hard to get the knob level, it sort of moves too much as you tighten, am I doing something wrong?

Cut a piece of heatshrink to fit around the shaft of the 6mm pots

You're looking too close. Put it on the floor  and see how it looks then.

Pedal building is like the opposite of sex.  All the fun stuff happens before you get in the box.

I use copper tape to swell the shaft size.

Knobs.
Shafts.

I wonder how many people without any interests in pedal building ended up on this page due to some seedy google search... :o

Nanny Ogg is great.  I need to reread that series.
