programming eeprom with dreamtime
« on: February 21, 2019, 02:40:39 PM »
Can you use the Dreamtime to program all 8 slots in an eeprom (notwithstanding that you cannot play them on it)?  I have other pedals that can play all 8 slots, but they cannot program the eeprom.

Yes you can!

You need a socket in IC3 so you can put in a fresh EEPROM.
You need a Pickit2 and the Pickit software.

Insert ROM into IC3
Connect Pickit2 to the header (pins 3, 5, 6 of the Pickit2 connect to the same numbers on the header)
Connect power to the Dreamtime circuit
Connect Pickit to USB port
Open Pickit software
Under Device Family, select 24LC32a
Uncheck "On" under VDD Pickit2
Load your hex file
Write
I own madbeanpedals (duh). I am part owner of Function F(X).
