Under the
Layout Diagram
section of the Dig Dug pdf, the square pad for each LED is in the center of each pot and connected to the middle lug.
Under the
Single Sided Version
section, it is a normal, round pad that is in the center of each pot and connected to the middle lug.

i had the same problem. i failed at this builds 3 times before throwing in the towel on it
