IC6B is a actually a buffer on the MB instead of 2x gain. This is probably key to quieting the beast. R13 and R14 are the same as the stock 25k/51k listed. I have to desolder and remove the breakaway board to get the other values I need.

I'm thinking reducing C6 to 100n might also help. Can't tell what the caps are without removing them (measuring them in circuit with my multimeter is pretty useless) and I'm not going to mess around trying to re-solder SMD stuff.

Anyway, getting very close!

Thanks for the updates, when you're done are you going to provide a minimal list of subs from the stock values to address the issues?

madbean

Absolutely. I'm just kinda blogging the progress right now.

I would love to hear your take on the technical differences of the Memory Boy compared to the Memory man.

I am a Deluxe Memory Boy user and love it. Is the Dirtbag based on the Memory Boy or Memory Man?

Thanks. Unfortunately it looks like I have a lot of unsoldering to do, which is very disappointing.
