I was wondering if any one has tried these modifications/spinoffs of the Fuzz Face circuit:
-Positive power for PNP Fuzz Face http://www.muzique.com/lab/fuzzface.htm

edit found this--soulsonic:
Quote- Use a standard supply and instead of wiring it backwards, wire the fuzz circuit "upside-down" with all the stuff that would normally connect to ground instead connected to the positive voltage, and all the stuff that would normally connect to the negative voltage connected to ground. It works fairly well, but some circuits don't work as well as normal when wired this way. You can see an example of it in the Fuzz Factory; the Fuzz Face part of it is wired like that... and isn't very stable, so it also shows how it not a perfect solution.

-Easy Face (silicon/germ hybrid that supposedly is less temperamental with temperatures) http://www.freeinfosociety.com/electronics/schematics/audio/pictures/joegaganeasyface.gif

This page is also of interest for further discussion-- http://www.geofex.com/article_folders/fuzzface/fffram.htm
