Whay can I use Fairchild SE4010 for?

I got a few a while back for a big muff before I remembered how much I personally didn't care for the muffs.(pedals atleast) are these good in place of 2n5088?

They seem like they might be low gain npn si bipolars.  I imagine you can use them anywhere that uses 2n3904 or 2n4401.  As always, check the data sheet for the pin alignment & you should be good to go.

I fried that comp you made me :( got to start over.. It sounded so good to. I'm working in orfice now. Those 4010 wouldn't be good in that comp would it? It use 2n5088. 4010 to low gain? Also is it ok to use tantalums in a comp or are they too noisy?
