Sorry, I tried doing some searches but I'm seeing database errors. I'm sure that this question has been asked before.
Does anyone have any preference for wire to make up 9v patch cables to run from a power supply to pedals? I have a bunch of these kobiconn 2.1mm plugs and want to make up some cords to run 9v from an Anderton/EPFM power supply I built many moons ago. I figured I could use generic speaker wire for it, but there's something that seems lame about that.
I used this stuff, I think (it's been a while):

Just make sure the barrel length isn't too long. There are a couple of different sizes -- either will work, but the barrel will stick out a little farther from the jack than you might like if it's too long.
Thanks for the reply. I'm actually looking to make up the cables myself, so I'm looking for a recommendation on the type of two-wire without the plugs. Something like lamp cord, but smaller. Or speaker wire with sturdier insulation?
I bought some stuff a few years ago from Effects Connection that I really liked because it was more of a compact coax type cable, so it has a nice looking round profile and it's really flexible. Looks like Effects Connection is no longer with us, but you could probably use RG174. If you want simple 2 conductor side by side, you could use zip cord. Smallbear sells both.
I've used this for building patch cables: http://www.redco.com/Canare-L-2T2S.html (http://www.redco.com/Canare-L-2T2S.html). Works great.
I'd try something like this,

I've some of those Parts Express cords with the plug on one end, they're six feet long so you can cut them down and use the pieces for making up your own short cords.

Yeah, as Dave said, the cables I linked only have a plug on one end, and they're long -- you can cut them to size and get several power cables out of one.
