Been a while since I've posted. Been Building guitars and a few pedals along the way.
I love this pedal!! Total old school sound. Great for roots music. Gritty, gutsy, loud and not a bad tone in the mix. Sounds great with my '70 Super Reverb as well as a little 5watt Marshall type I have.
Board is from Often FX (where did they go?). It's the Runoffgroove Supreaux Deux.
Designed the graphics in Photoshop and etched it in ferric chloride. The top has been lacquered. The knobs are vintage.
This has gotta be one of my favorite dirt pedals.

Outstanding! Love the vintage look and tidy insides.
That is a stunner!! Inside and out. I really dig the Art Deco vibe.

Top notch etch and build. I love everything about it.

This is really beautiful, and the knobs are perfect.
Perfection!
That is just the total package.
O_o That looks SICK!! I soldered mine this week (also an OftenFx pcb) but I'm afraid mine isn't going to look that cool (although I was going to use the Supro logo too)
Much awesomeness! 8)
That, sir, is outstanding!
Love it!
Thanks everybody !! I appreciate the kind words. Couldn't do this kind of work without all of the great Info and tutorials here and on other forums. Great community.
Very tidy inside and the graphics are great.
Very nice job mate.
cheers,
Panos.
Nice to see you posting again. As always, great build.

I still remember the awesome Honey Bee you did back in the day! :) This looks just as cool.
That is a fantastic looking pedal... and sounding too I'm sure!
Supreme bad-assery! Those knobs are perfect for the look of this pedal, too.
I can only echo what others have already said: Outstanding inside and out! Great retro look and I covet those knobs.
I am impressed that you got that sharp of an etch with a PS design. I had a lot fo probs with edges until I switched to vector graphics.
If you don't mind me asking, how did you do the cool mottled paint finish on the top?

Thanks! My PS files are at 300ppi at 100% of size. the key to getting them sharp is to apply sharpening and print onto a photo grade matte paper like epson presentation matte. the PNP can only be as sharp as the print you copy from.
The mottled finish was caused by the etchant on the aluminum. Usually I would just paint over that but I thought it looked good so I just buffed the top and applied clear lacquer to it. Has about 4 coats. that will really make your etch pop.
Right on, that's awesome!
Cool to see you back in action Bluestrat. Always loved your work. Great build man!
That etch is great. This pcb was my first diy stompbox. Such a slammin' circuit!
Fantastic work. Great design and etch. Reminds me of the Bioshock video games futuristic/art deco style.
Please could I ask where the knobs are from?
thanks again for all the positive posts.

That's so sick man! You and selfdestroyer should run an enclosure etching business haha
Opened the thread, scrolled down and my eyes popped out, had no idea what to expect! Wow Super pedal, very nicely done!
