i recently bought some sa571's from polida and while i was there i threw some of these in the cart.

i figured that pic was just a generic ic they had photoshopped to say 4580d for this specific auction, but nope- that's exactly how they really look. smh
they were so cheap i probably should have known, but sometimes you can get a good deal from these sellers so i tried it out, what can i say.

i haven't tested the companders yet, i hope they are real.  ::)

I guess I'm the odd one out here, I had mostly good experience with these Chinese sellers. I bought a couple of 100k stereo pots, ca3080s and rotary switches about a year ago (I think it was goodbuy) and they were all good. I used the ca3080s for a Honneydripper, but because the circuit didn't work, I thought that I got some fakes, so I ordered some more ca3080s from a supposedly reliable source (don't remember where) and 1 of the 2 didn't work.
