It would fit the bill for all the things you want...except...it does have the inherent modulation like the BTDR-2H.

Is the modulation the same as the 2? - in length and depth. I don't mind if it is slight or hidden. I found the mod really noticeable on the 2

I have built quite a few RADs with long bricks and a couple with short bricks and I love the simplicity of them and its a great spring reverb sound, if that's what you are going for. The RADD is a great addition to the DIY reverbs but I only have made 2 of them. Most of my friends love the "one knob to rule them all" routine. If you are looking for very ambient sounding reverb I would suggest the Madbeans Moodring, GrindCustomsFX Tenebrion or the Space Chasm from Deadastronaut.

My father runs 2 RADs on his board, one pre-looper and one post-looper. He like to be able to record some fat reverb and add a touch on the over all loop. I have a Moodring on my board and love it. hope this helps in some way.

I'm not looking for an ambient sounding reverb. I'm not looking for a total spring emulation either. I was hoping with the added controls of the RADD that I could get some subtle reverbs to some more drenched reverbs. They don't need to be over the top, as I'd be using it with my half stack, into the front end of the amp, and a little reverb goes a long way at those volumes.

I also was hoping the inherent modulation of the Belton 2 would no longer be there, or be as apparent, with the 3, as I didn't care for the B2's modulation.

I mean the modulation can be cool for certain purposes but I didn't like it for the sound(s) I wanted.

I'm trying to get opinions on how it compares to the first RDD and other Belton 2 circuits.

What are you thoughts on the Deluxe? Could you possibly make a demo? There is only 2 on youtube from the same user (a poster from this forum).

Can the reverb get dark with the Tone control?

definitely ripe for modding to add EXP control over the Manual pot.

Plenty of companies that make great LP copies that stick to the classic approach and have excellent quality.

Can you make a 25k a 50k? I know you can do the opposite but I have a 12mm 25k pot I need to make into a 50k

Anyone else making instrument cable? I just ordered a lava pedalboard kit cause they had a 30% off sale, but I couldn't justify spending the $80 a piece for 2 12' cables.

Anyone building their own instrument cables? What cable and plugs are you using?

IMO something that is important to have with a blend pedal is a phase switch (I believe the Paramix has one).

Exactly.
In order of my preference:
Paramix (no phase issues)
B-Blender opamp based, sonice and colorless
Buff-an-blend, simple but not "transparent"- though that's another man's "warm"
Paramix is theonly one with phase inversion, may not be an issue, just checkout the circuit you intend to use it with.

I would agree with you guys to a point, however each of these options here have another inherent issue themselves - they don't actually properly mix the signal with the clean signal. They aren't actually balanced mixers, which is what the Panner/Paralyzer solves by sending the unused signal to ground. You actually go from full wet to full dry with a 50/50 mix in the middle, which none of those other options give you. And the PCB is small.

The fraction of circuits that would require a switch to flip the phase inversion is not very large. If in fact someone did have a situation in which that was an issue, there are other options.

I'm looking for a single loop blend circuit. Anyone have a layout? I've seen some online but I've not seen comments about them - as to how well they work.

I have parts on the way to build a Mayo MKIII. All the Skreddy stuff sounds awesome, and Tagboard effects has a lot of layouts on the website.

Any advice on what other circuits to build? A good companion to the MKIII?

Anyone know where to find those blue knobs used on the DD series delays?
