here's a tube booster that I built capable of a bit of overdrive that I thought that i'd share.

This I like! Very much!! All of it.
Love this, man. Valve inside, SPST relay bypass, and it looks like the most trouble you went to was the polished enclosure.
Talk about your sleeper build :) :D ;D
actually the hardest part was drawing up the PCB for the lighted pots and making the little 'L' bracket to mount the PCB with the tube socket.
That looks stunning. absolutely perfect etch and I agree with alan, the polished enclosure must have been a pain. Did you use any filters when taking the first pic or is it really having this epic glow around the lit up knobs?
That etch is beautiful! Impressive innards, too!

thanks. no camera filters or anything. it looks exactly like the pic.
and polishing the enclosre isn't really all that difficult.
DUDE.
This is the definition of tasteful.
Well done. This made my day.
Very nicely done indeed. 8)
Wow! How is the L-bracket held to the enclosure? It looks like a rivet?
Your enclosure looks fantastic along with the inside too.
Woooo that is sweet, great job!

it 's a 4-40 oval head Philips screw.
Amazing,!!!! Question, with no airflow, does it get too hot or is the enclosure one big ole heatsink?
now that I think of it, how do you get the voltage you need for the plates? similar to the valvetizer or the cleggster psu? sure did a great job fitting all of this in there and making it look so spacious at the same time

it only gets a little warm so it doesn't seem to need any airflow.

it's a modified Valvecaster so it doesn't need any more than 9 volts to power it.
That is frigging awesome.
That's a beauty.
Got any details on the L bracket? I'm trying to figure this out for a multi build using the Valvetizer. Thanks!
Wow, great looking build John. Love that polished etch.

That's a really good looking build! Great job. :)
This is some great work.
Very classy.
i wasn't even aware it was possible to get a polished look like that .. how did you do it? Oo

I would like some pointers about the polish finish. I have never managed to get a result this fine.
Wow, that may be one of the nicest etches I've ever seen.
Very nice built that! 8)
Super nice! That polish job came out awesome
Wow! Dude that's shiny! Only after looking in the pedal I realized the clever use of space to fit all the pieces in. Very Cool!
