Thank you much!

Howdy folks,

Does the orientation of the 7815T in the road rage matter? If so, which side faces toward the board (as opposed to the edge) The pins were too thick to socket to test myself.

Also, if not using the voltage sag feature, can I just leave the trimmer on the new board off? Or do I have to add a resistor or jumper?

Thanks in advance for answering my most basic questions.

All the best,

SB

Thanks guys.

For a build like the Dirtbag where the delay ICs only have 8 legs, would any harm come from snipping the unused socket legs in-between?

Thanks

Nice!

Good to see some successful 3205 builds lately.

Take your time. Take care of your wife (who must be awesome for allowing you to go down the rabbit hole) and your family.

Nobody will be more than slightly inconvenienced by having to search the Small Bear site themselves.

All the best.

I use the BOM with a sheet of bubble wrap behind it(small bubbles), then poke all my resistors into their numbered spots. Measuring resistance once before they go into the sheet, then immediately before they go into the build.

I do this with other small parts as well.

I haven't built the Dirtbag yet. But from reading the build doc, there is more to the change between 3205s and 3005s than swapping ic's: jumpers, component values, etc.

Have you done all that?

I have noticed that too (gaps).  Thats right, it was a TL1054...they dont even have TC1044. only the MAX1044, which i probably wouldnt get again after the last one all but caught fire  :o Which is a shame, cause id like to just get it all in the one order.

I have used a couple of their 3pdt's now and i cant tell the difference.  Same with their econo in/out jacks.  Cant tell the difference, they feel smooth enough to me anyway.

Love Tayda, but not a fan of their econo in/out jacks. I bought two to try out and they were so loose that 1/4 inch cables just slid right out.

Hi I'm working on a build, and Tayda, which is great, sent me 1 watt instead of 1/4 watt 10k resistors. The size I can work around, any other reason not to use them?
