I've used 63/37 but prefer 60/40 if its something I'll desolder parts off eventually.

I'd like to hear your thoughts on that  :)

I stopped using the 60/40 stuff awhile ago. Last too orders have been off ebay from random buyers with the best deal on pounds of kester solder. I've gotten 2 pounds for about 30-$35 shipped of .21 diameter. More recently I spent about $50-$55 on 3 pounds, one .15, one .21 and the other .30 diameter for different applications. Usually these are what look like vintage rolls of solder but you can get newer kester from CE distribution..I believe its around the same pricing per pound, $15. I urge you to try 63/37 solder if you haven't, it has a lower wetting point and quicker setting.

IMO this circuit needs that depth mod (c18 47pf) hardwired. It sounds kinda thin without it, so I just bumped that value up to 100pf and left it alone. In conjunction with MB's Led indicator depth mod I get so much warble! Also if you don't like the speed parameters on the rate knob adjust c20. 10/22nf will be super fast, 100nf will be normal and 220 will get you slow range territory.
As for the noise i don't have much of a solution besides trying to trace where its coming from.. :)

Has anyone tried the gate mod for muffs? I've still yet but its supposed to suppress all the floor noise!

You could technically build it the way you did but I wouldn't recommend it. I have however seen pics of builds in the way you've done it.
Remember trace cuts are placed looking from the top (non copper side) so when you flip the board you must do the same to the trace cuts. It's simple, for example if its the 2nd hole from the left (looking from non copper side) when you flip you'd cut the 2nd hole from the right.
I started with dragonfly's layout gallery, he's got tons of easy vero projects that are great to start with. His One knob colorsound overdriver has a nice tutorial as well! Check it out.

I as well, saved a good 400$ almost. Ordering myself a few one off custom cases for pedals with the savings!

There you are! And that savings you wanted!!
