Hi,

I'm planning on beginning work on an etched PCB version of Pepper Spray. Obvious difference, no solder pads. Are there adjustments I need to be mindful of when soldering on an etched board vs fabbed?

Thank you

jimilee

It's easier to create solder bridges, so be mindful of your soldering.

It can be more difficult to solder to the bare copper pads. I would advise using a flux pen to make soldering easier.

Great feedback. Have a flux pen, so I'll do that!

Be very, very careful that you are putting components in the correct place. No silkscreen to help you, with etched. (Unless you're the resident mad-art india ink paintslinger that hangs out here :) )
